Situated between Mott and Mulberry streets in NoLiTa, 34 Prince Street holds a building that is a schoolhouse conversion with 7 lofts and 2 townhouses to offer. This prewar building was redesigned by Marvel Architects, and now showcases a singular blend of historic and contemporary design.
The building is handsome, with a red-brick, Federal style and the designs within are exuberant and elegant, hosting large apartments and offering expansive layouts and floor plans to accommodate not only you, but every convenience and luxury that would make this place home for you.
Fireplaces inside some homes ensure that you enjoy their cozy warmth, while enjoying the high ceilings and vast windows that set this building apart. A carefully-curated amenities and services package has been designed for the residents and includes an attended lobby, refrigerated storage, a courtyard, a fitness center, basement storage as well as a bike room.
These two, handsome, red-brick, Federal-style buildings at 34 and 38 Prince Street between Mott and Mulberry streets in NoLiTa were once the Cathedral School and convent of the Basilica of St. Patrick's Cathedral across Prince Street. The basilica was established in 1807 and for many years was the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York.
The school was closed in 2010.
The 1826 building was converted to 9 residential condominium apartments in 2016 by Time Equities, which is headed by Francis Greenburger, and Hamlin Ventures, which is headed by Abby Hamlin.
The residential project is known as The Residences at Prince.
Marvel Architects designed the conversion.
