Designed by FX Fowle Architects, Circa Central Park is a site at the northwest corner of Central Park and showcases an exquisite, curved facade that is both breathtaking and idyllic. This new building was erected by Artimus Construction and has louvers above the windows in its south facade to control shading.
The building has a spacious, airy and sunlit interior with floor plans that are generous and expansive. Inside the homes, expansive windows frame intimate views of the neighborhood and of the Manhattan skyline, while its soaring ceiling heights and open spaces add to its convenient and cozy design.
Amenities and service are carefully projected and include an attended lobby, concierge, a full-time doorman, basement storage, roof deck, elevator, pet services of grooming, a courtyard, state-of-the-art fitness center that is fully equipped, a live-in superintendent and a spacious, gallery-like lobby that can act as a recreation spot.
This very attractive, 11-story building at 285 West 110th Street is scheduled for occupancy in 2017 and has 38 market-rare condominium apartments and ten “affordable” units. It is known as Circa Central Park and is at the intersection of 110th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard.
It was designed by FXCollaborative and erected by Artimus Construction.
The building’s south façade has louvers above the windows to control shading.
The site was formerly occupied by a gas station and, according to a March 3, 2016 article by Josh Barbanel in The Wall Street Journal before 1934 “it was the home of a billiard parlor and dance hall.”
