Located close to Central Park and East River, 200 E62 is a spacious condominium that defines the sophistication and aesthetic re-imagination of Messana O'Rorke. This 30 floor, 1 to 4-bedroom luxury condo dominates the link between midtown and uptown and thereby very objectively mirrors a mix of its layout, amenities, and neighborhood.
A tight, fun-filled ring that holds luxury hotels, restaurants, famous cafés, and dreamy outlets such as Kate Spade surrounds 200 E62. While the residence itself showcases elegance, class, and savvy designs, with Basaltina floors and fireplace, an exaggerated lobby, fitness center, playroom, outside parking, a 24-hour doorman and pet-friendly terms, the roof-terrace is a cherry on top. The skyline views and spacious layout make the condominium seem simple and sophisticated, with an underlying essence of elegance and convenience. A year-long free membership of Equinox Fitness Clubs for 2 members per residence makes the place sound even better.
This 30-story apartment tower, which is known as 200 E 62, was erected at 200 East 62nd Street on the southeast corner at Third Avenue in 1967 as a rental building that had 241 units.
It was designed by Paul Resnick and Harry G. Green for Wellington Estates Ltd. The architects’s other Manhattan designs include 80 Central Park West, 700 Park Avenue and 980 Fifth Avenue.
The building, which is also known as 1033-1049 Third Avenue, was acquired by Mann Realty and the California State Teachers Retirement System, in 1996.
It was converted in 2015 to a condominium with about 115 units by O’Connor Capital Partners, which is headed by Glenn Rufrano. Ronnette Riley and The Rockwell Group designed the conversion that removed sidewalk planters with spikes and added a slanting granite wall to its side-street driveway and a curved glass-and-metal entrance marquee.
Messana O’Rorke did the interiors in the conversion.
