This month, I want to focus on what I personally believe sets me apart from other real estate agents in NYC. With real estate becoming more transparent online, buyers and sellers have the option to research and find an agent who's values are aligned with theirs. We have seen corporate social responsibility in the goods sector (TOMS, Warby Parker, Everlane) but the services industry has yet to be disrupted, until now!
I go above and beyond as YOUR NYC real estate agent, because I:
Am invested in the betterment of society and solution of social problems
Prioritize making an impact on the local community
Push others to be open and honest about their efforts
Involve you in my good works. {See Below} Always contact me as a "plus one" to volunteer at an organization YOU are passionate about!
Four years ago I set out on a mission to *make community a common thought*....Last year NYC Strut Corporation became a 501C3 Non-Profit organization. Here are some of great things we have been involved in:
Co-leading @CleanUpSoho - an initiative to make SoHo's streets cleaner including:
Fundraising from various community stakeholders for new, larger trash bins (thanks to 60 Guilders, CBRE, Bloomingdales, Premier Equities and anonymous residents)
Interviewing street cleaning vendors for supplemental street cleaning - and selecting WildCat
Putting pressure (and succeeding) for funding for supplemental street cleaning - Council-Woman Margaret Chin allocated $60,000 - 6 months worth - to our initiative!
Finding a secure storage area for the morning and evening clean up crews (thanks to Varon Barrio-Carrillo, restauranteur of Anyway Cafe (a great date spot!) which is opening on Thompson & Broome)
Producing a tourist map promoting dozens of local businesses and helping tourists navigate Soho more efficiently & effectively
Hosting monthly educational breakfasts for retailers in the neighborhood
Organizing a community-wide Art Strut driving traffic to 10+ art galleries in Soho and partnering with Moleskine notebooks for enhanced exposure.
As YOUR socially responsible agent, please reach out to me at 212-941-2634 if you know anyone looking to buy, sell or rent in NYC. I am also available if you have any real estate specific questions, would simply like to discuss current market conditions, or wish to receive real estate news about your neighborhood!
