On Thursday I saw my favorite band Lifehouse perform on the 18th anniversary of the ‘first time’ I saw them!
Lifehouse had the #1 single of 2001 with “Hanging By A Moment” and another
#1 single “First Time” a few years later. This newsletter is in honor of “first time” ...homebuyers.
I was a ‘first time’ buyer in 2012 and couldn’t find an agent who was able to educate me through the buying process which ultimately inspired me to get my license and pursue real estate. After an emotional experience and losing a few dream apartments, I became a co-op expert and left my exciting accounting career behind. I’m on a mission to be the agent I never had for myself!
This past weekend marked the ‘first’ Sunday of the spring buying season!
What makes a good selling agent includes pricing, showing, funneling through offers and guiding a seller to choose the best one. This is all in part to a unique marketing strategy showcasing the home online to attract the most buyers in person. I’m excited to announce two new listings I’ll be putting on the market over the next week: 250 Mercer #C403 (teaser photo below) and 118 Suffolk #2B.
What makes a good buying agent is being patient to make sure a buyer sees enough properties to feel confident making an offer on one, maybe two, and definitely participating in a bidding war because my clients only like the best properties. Sometimes it’s worth it to walk away and other times it becomes clear that paying an extra $10-20k+ for a property with future resale value in an appreciating market might be worth it.
Considering selling or buying in 2019? I will make your 'first time' something to remember!
