I KNOW WHO I WANT TO TAKE ME HOME ♪♬

On Tuesday, I closed on a property at 177 East 93rd #3B where I represented the buyer.  In honor of the closing, I'd like to talk about...yes, I'm going there...Closing Time!

Before closing, a buyer has:

  • Found their dream home
  • Hired an attorney
  • Hired a mortgage banker/broker
  • Put together their board package
  • Passed a board interview

Before closing, a seller has:

  • Found another place to live & prepared to move
  • Hired an attorney
  • Found the original stock & proprietary lease

The morning of the closing is the “final walk-through” to make sure everything
is in order.  At the closing a buyer signs several documents (even more if they are financing), receives the keys, and the deed & mortgage is recorded in public record.  The seller has written checks to the payoff bank (to clear the mortgage) as well as the broker fees.

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end (♪♫♬).  Let me help you make a new beginning by finding (or selling) your dream home in NYC!

Please reach out to me if you have any real estate specific questions, would simply like to discuss current market conditions, or wish to receive real estate news about your neighborhood.

FUN FACT:   Semisonic's "Closing Time" was released ~20 years ago!
